Ainsley's Adventures: This Was Our Land - Chapter 1

Chapter 1 - A Day to Herself

Ainsley checked the saddle bags, pulling on each of them to make sure they didn't slide. She checked the girth strap one more time just in case King had been inflating on her, as he liked to do. Like many quarters, he could be sneaky, holding his breath in puffing his belly out so the straps would be tight, and then breathing out when you looked away. You often wouldn't know until you got to trotting for the first time that the saddle wasn't tight, and you'd find yourself hanging on to a mane or way up on the beast's neck trying to slow them down and not eat dirt.

The saddle was good, as was the rope, canteen, and bit. Ainsley hooked her left foot into the left stirrup, and in a smooth motion swung over the saddle and settled in, hooking into the right stirrup as well. She grabbed the reins and gave King a gentle tap with her boot heels to get him going. She started with a slow walk for now. She was not in a hurry, for once.  Her mom had the baby, and Jameson was off hunting for the weekend with his dad. She had a rare day to herself, and intended to enjoy it. She had packed enough food to get her through sundown if needed. She was going to take King out for a long ride, and make good use of the extensive property they owned today.

King could sense Ainsley's mood. He tossed his head and picked his feet up a bit higher, practically prancing. He snorted, shaking his head, tossing his black mane as he did so. Ainsley patted his neck. "Alright boy, let's go. Just you and me today."  King was a beautiful horse. Almost all black, with a very thin white strip on his forehead, and one black sock. He was tall and muscular, and very spirited. Ainsley had left him uncut because she liked a more challenging steed, and they were making some side money by breeding him.

She kicked him into motion. He instinctively headed north, since that was where they rode most often, but she steered him to the right. "Not today boy. Let's ride the hill section today. It's been awhile since we've been out there." King just snorted in response, moving into a trot. She gave him his head, and he burst into a gallop.  She didn't want him to tire out quickly, but she could tell he was excited to go out, and he knew they were going for a longer ride than normal just based on the deviation from their normal routine.

She reined him in after about 30 seconds, bringing him back to a walk. She steered more to the east, following the trail leading out of the main yard. These days the dogs and wildlife kept this trail worn more than horses, and as such it was a little more overgrown than some of the others. It wasn't a problem for King, however. There were no trees over here, just wide open terrain covered in sparse vegetation. It was as beautiful a day as you could ask for. No wind, cloudless blue sky. It was early fall, so it was cool, but not cold. Ainsley wore a light jacket, jeans, and a red flannel shirt. A cowboy hat kept the sun off her face, and some red sunglasses completed the look. She had on her older pair of boots today, more function than form, but she wasn't out to show off to anyone. That's what summer was for. Riding a horse was sexy, and riding one in daisey dukes and tank always turned the boys heads. She knew Jameson's friends didn't always come over just to catch up with him.

Thirty minutes later they reached the outskirts of the hill section. The land started roll a little bit here. The trail meandered on to the east, and Ainsley stuck to it. After about 20 minutes and half a dozen small hills, they reached the section where they increased in size. The trail here went up and over most of them, but occasionally it would dip between them, or work its way around some of the larger hills.  There was a small stream in a few more hills, which was well placed as it was always about the time the horses would start getting thirsty.  They kept on, and Ainsley took in the landscape at the top of each hill. She saw a few deer a couple hills over, but no bears. Not that they were often a problem, but better safe than sorry.

They made it to the stream and Ainsley let King drink for a couple minutes, pulling from her canteen as he did so. She ate a banana as well, and let King munch on what little grass there was.  She kicked him into motion, wanting to keep moving. She'd love to make it all the way to property line today, but she'd need a solid seven or so hours of saddle time, and the sun was setting sooner this time of year. They rode on for an hour or so, up and over, down and around repeat. She saw a couple eagles, a few coyote, and a snake basking in the sun. It was starting to warm up, so Ainsley took her jacket off and unbuttoned her shirt another notch, and rolled up her sleeves as well. She took another sip from her canteen as she topped another hill.

Something in the corner of her eye got her attention. She looked to her left, trying to see what it was, and noticed a figure on horseback about five hills over. From the distance, she couldn't make out much. Details were lost to a vague shape and muted colors, but she was sure there was someone on a horse over there. They didn't move, and Ainsley thought maybe it was a weird rock formation. This was her property line, so whoever it was shouldn't be here. They had a couple friends that were allowed to use it when they wanted, but she would have seen them parked back at the house.  She decided to go to the next hill down the trail and look again once she topped it.  Two minutes later she crested the next hill, and looked to where she had seen the figure. Nothing was there. Weird. She thought. She rode around the hill top to get a look from as different angle as she could at this distance, but still didn't see anything. Huh. Maybe a trick of the light?

She rode on for another hour, and at the hill she knew was the largest she decided to stop for lunch. It was just shy of noon now. She dismounted and unstrapped her blanket, spreading it on the ground, and then pulled her lunch out. She loosened King's saddle just a bit for him, and sat down to eat. She sat cross legged, enjoying the view and solitude.

She ate and took in the cool air, the sun, and the scenery. King munched away behind her, occasionally taking a step or two. He wouldn't wander off as long as she was nearby.  She finished up her sandwich, and took a deep pull from her canteen. The sun was overhead and it was warm enough that she could do what she really liked to do when she got some time alone. She put her canteen on her saddle horn and stuffed her trash into one of the saddle bags. She walked back to the blanket and took a a few 360 turns to inspect the landscape all around her to make absolutely sure no one was nearby. There never was anyone out here, as it was their land and she was pretty deep into the middle of it, but better to be safe. These days you also had to check the sky for drones, which she did as well. Once she was certain she was alone with no spectators, she began undressing. She removed her boots and socks, and then unbuttoned her shirt. She laid it on the blanket next to her, and then shimmied out of her jeans. She stood tall and stretched in just her bra and thong, a lacey white duo that would have made any boys drool. After a minute of stretching, she took her bra off, followed by her thong, and lay on her stomach on the blanket. She grabbed her phone and flipped through some pictures she saved just for these moments.

She flipped over on to her back and spread her legs, caressing her body with her hands. She slid them over her perky breasts, gently squeezing a nipple, and then slid her hand to her clit. The breeze and sun on her skin, the freedom of being naked outside, and the slight risk that she could be spotted, however unlikely, all made for a very stimulating environment. She flipped through a few more pictures, picking up speed with her fingers as she did so. She put the phone down and rubbed herself harder, feeling the pleasure build. Her breath shortened and started making short moans, getting louder the closer she got. Finally, the wave came over her, and she rubbed herself until she was too sensitive. She laid back, getting her breath back and closing her eyes. She stayed that way for five minutes or so. Once she felt she was mostly recovered she began getting dressed again.

She froze. Straight ahead of her, three hills over, she saw the figure again.
